This is the first psychiatric department in Hong Kong attached to and serving a general hospital, offering ample clinical, educational, and research resources.

The department has specific strengths in basic and behavioural neuroscience, psychiatric genetics, psychosis studies, psychosocial medicine, and sleep disorders studies.

One of the major teaching hospitals for the department; we foster quality mental health care for our patients and actively participate in the training of future health care providers.
