Abstract:

The motives that shisha smoking is relaxing with favourable smoke, less harmful, less addictive and more socially acceptable than cigarette consumption, contributing to the boosting prevalence among young adults and emerge as a public health threat. Yet, there is no developed intervention of shisha cessation in the East Asia region. Hence, this study aimed to develop and evaluate a brief shisha smoking cessation intervention for young adults in Hong Kong.
