Abstract:

Perinatal anxiety is an under-researched yet prevalent condition among pregnant women which can lead to significant distress and detrimental impact. This study aims to compare and explore the effectiveness of General Anxiety Disorder –7, Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale- 3A and Pregnancy-related Anxiety Questionnaire –Revised as screening tools for perinatal anxiety in Chinese pregnant women in Hong Kong. The study also explores the prevalence of perinatal anxiety and its correlations with the socio-demographic variables and clinical factors.
