Abstract:

In order to examine physical and cognitive effort-based decision making (EBDM) in early psychosis, 45 patients with early psychosis and 46 healthy controls completed the EEfRT task and the COGED task as measures of EBDM. Clinical symptoms, cognitive abilities and psychosocial function were measured. Results suggest that EBDM is altered in this patient group and support the hypothesis that EBDM is associated with negative symptoms and cognitive deficits.
