Abstract:

Genome-wide association studies have enabled the effects of multiple common genetic variants to be combined to obtain polygenic risk scores (PRS) for predicting individual disease risk. In this presentation, recent studies exploring potential applications of PRS to psychiatric disorders will be reviewed. Future directions for PRS method development will also be discussed.
